My Furnace Died on the Coldest Day of the Year!

Yes, Real Estate Agents aren’t immune to wear and tear on equipment in their homes.  This winter my furnace died during the coldest day of the year.  It took 2 days to replace the furnace.  Thank the Lord for a fire place!

Two weeks later the water tank needed a new igniter.  5 days without a warm shower.  I had to boil water for 4 days. The 1st day I took a cold shower.  That was too difficult.  Oh! I had to boil water for 4 people.  Not fun.

Why am I sharing this?  To help you.  Make sure your furnace, air-conditioner, and hot water tank are checked annually.   Avoid the cold days at home, the hot weather and the cold shower.   Keep your equipment in working order.  Don’t get caught in the cold.

Don’t when buying a home

Don’t when buying a home!  So you are in the process of buying a home.  You’re pre-approved.  Then you are ready to close on the deal and the bank denies your loan.  Why?  Many new homeowners get excited while in the process and decide to make big purchases.  Before you buy that new car or new furniture, reconsider.  If you buy anything during the process of buying the home you can drastically change your debt to income ratio.  Today you may have quailified for the home and tomorrow you buy a house full of furniture on credt.  By doing this you’ve just  changed your purchase power.  So, again, wait before going on a buying spree.
